He's a Champion Level Digimon whose Fruit Punch Nova sends his enemies to the showers! Not exactly part of a balanced breakfast, believe me!

Citramon is an edited version of Bomber Nanimon who only appears in the seventh episode of Digimon Data Squad, the American English dub of Digimon Savers. The Walt Disney Company had deemed Bomber Nanimon inappropriate for broadcast on a family-friendly network due to its bomb theme, and because of this they had originally planned to cut the episode from Data Squad entirely. In order to keep the episode and therefore not lose work for the dub cast and crew, dub producer Rita Makjut came up with the idea of reworking Bomber Nanimon into a giant orange that sprays juice, and writer Jeff Nimoy implemented the idea. The first name that they considered for Citramon was "Tangerinemon", but Toei Animation rejected the name.[1]
This rewritten and redesigned version of the Digimon takes inspiration from the anime series Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, the English dub of which Nimoy had also previously written for, as Citramon was written as an "ode" to the major character Don Patch. Recurring Digimon dub voice actor Kirk Thornton, who had voiced Don Patch in that dub, was cast as Citramon and performed the role using the same style and mannerisms as he had for Don Patch.[citation needed]
There are some inconsistencies in the editing. Bomber Nanimon's wick is usually replaced by an orange leaf and stem, but in some shots, the wick is still present on Citramon, or the leaf is missing.
In all other American English localizations of Digimon media in which it appears, Bomber Nanimon is left totally unaltered.

Appearances[edit]
Bomber Nanimon and Citramon comparison screen-shots.
In "A Birthday Kristy Will Never Forget!" (the English dub version of "Thoma's Day Off, Exploding Bomber Nanimon"), Citramon appears at an amusement park on the night of Kristy Damon's (Daimon Chika) birthday and goes on a rampage, threatening to flood the amusement park with orange juice. Thomas H. Norstein (Thoma H. Norstein) and his partner Gaomon fight Citramon to prevent the flooding of the park and salvage Kristy's birthday. Gaomon digivolves (evolves) into Gaogamon, throws Citramon into the air and blasts it with Spiral Blow, and Citramon explodes into a fireworks-like shower of orange juice and reverts into a Digi-Egg (Digitama).
